Having the home crowd support, China?s Chen Yuekun started his journey in an inspiring fashion as he easily stamped his mark over Russia?s Ivan Sozonov in Men?s Singles first round at Li Ning China Open 2012 in Shanghai, on Wednesday, November 14.
The un-seeded Yuekun, who has been working hard to elevate his position at world stage, proved his worth in the arena by playing positive and aggressive badminton in opening round clash and easily won it in just 20 minutes.
Chinese player showed urgency on court as he did not miss any chance to earn points and remained successful in defeating his Russian challenger in straight games with a killing margin on score board.
